Who we are

Homestead Aviation (Beatrice, Nebraska) develops Wright EFB, an Android electronic flight bag currently in internal development and testing. Contact: [email protected] · 443-223-3788.

What the app uses

• Location (GPS) — optional, for ownship position and distances on the chart. Processed on the device. You can deny location; the rest of the app still works.
• Charts and navigation data — downloaded from public FAA (and related) sources to storage on your phone. Kept so the app works offline between updates.
• Weather — METARs/TAFs and related products requested from public aviation weather services (e.g. Aviation Weather Center) for stations near the map area you view.
• App settings — preferences such as layer visibility and display options stored only on your device.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your flight or location history for advertising.
• We do not require an Homestead Aviation account to run the app.

Google Play / distribution

When you install via Google Play, Google’s terms and privacy policy also apply to the Play Store and Play services. During internal testing, access is limited to invited Google accounts.

Children

Wright EFB is intended for pilots and student pilots. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app grows. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
